Tank Cure Rust Remover

Description

Tank Cure Rust Remover is the second stage in the Tank Cure epoxy system.

After using the Tank Cure Tank Cleaner, the Rust Remover should be used even if there is no rust visible. This not only neutralises any rust which may be hidden, but also etches the surface ensuring good adhesion of the epoxy sealer.

While old tanks are often rusty on the inside, newer tanks can also be affected by rust due to the use of petrol with added Bio-Ethanol. Even light surface rust can be removed with Tank Cure Rust Remover. The Rust Remover works best when it has a temperature above 25˚C. Stubborn rust can be properly loosened and removed by adding a small amount of gravel or small nuts & bolts and shaking regularly. Do not leave the Tank Cure Rust Remover in the tank for too long. Inspect the tank regularly to ensure that all rust has been removed. After the treatment, empty the Rust Remover and rinse the tank well with clean water. Dry the petrol tank thoroughly to prevent rust formation using a hair dryer.
